Venture out into Salland's nature!

The surroundings of Holiday park Hellendoorn are the ideal starting point for a beautiful walk in nature. Our holiday park is situated at the foot of National Park Sallandse Heuvelrug; a versatile nature area full of vast forests, blooming heaths and rolling hills such as the Holterberg and the Koningsbelt. Thanks to the extensive walking network, you can easily map out your ideal route yourself. Various walking maps are available at our reception desk. So put on your walking shoes and enjoy the beautiful nature!

The Holterberg

A beautiful route starts from Holterberg, leading you past the beautiful viewpoint on Holterberg and the impressive Canadian cemetery, among other places. This circular walk is about 9 kilometres and starts from bus station Holterberg.

Highlights of the Salland Ridge:

    Heathlands

    National Park Sallandse Heuvelrug is one of the largest contiguous dry heathlands in Europe!

    River Regge

    Discover the Regge valley from an electric boat on the Regge river! This river flows on the east side of the Sallandse Heuvelrug.

    The Holterberg

    Holterberg is the starting point for beautiful hikes. On top of this hill you will find catering establishments and Natuurdiorama Holterberg.

Archemerberg route

Walk along the dirt roads of Archemerberg and Lemelerberg! You will have great views over the vast heathlands. Almost all year round, a flock of about 150 sheep walks around here. This beautiful route is about 12.5 kilometres.

Pieterpad

The Pieterpad is a long-distance route between Groningen and Limburg. Holiday park Hellendoorn is located between stages 10 (Ommen-Hellendoorn) and 11 (Hellendoorn-Holten). These stages are about 16 kilometres long and offer beautiful views over the hills and moors.
