If you are a nature lover you are in the right place at Vacation Park Hellendoorn! Discover National Park the Sallandse Heuvelrug and enjoy the rolling moors and vast forests. Or walk (part of) the Pieterpad. The Pieterpad takes you from Pieterburen in North Groningen to the Sint Pietersberg in South Limburg. In short, plenty of opportunities for a nice walking or cycling trip!

National Park De Sallandse Heuvelrug

An area with un-Dutch vistas of large undulating moors and vast forests. The Sallandse Heuvelrug between Hellendoorn and Holten. Characteristic hills are the Hellendoornse Berg, the Haarlerberg, the Holterberg and the Koningsbelt. The latter is the highest, reaching 75 meters above sea level. The landscape was formed in the distant past by sliding ice, melting water and drifting sand.

Pieterpad

Walking the Pieterpad? Vacation park Hellendoorn is located right between stages 19 (Ommen- Hellendoorn) and 20 (Hellendoorn-Holten). How about renting your bungalow for a weekend, then continue hiking? Inquire about the possibilities. The Pieterpad is a Long Distance Walking Route (LAW). An LAW is a walk that extends over a longer distance (from about 100km) and does not go around. The starting and finishing points of an LAW are therefore not close to each other. The Pieterpad leads from Pieterburen in northern Groningen to the Sint Pietersberg in southern Limburg, making it the longest continuous walking route in the Netherlands.

Wandelnetwerk

In addition to the bicycle junction system, the hiking network has been set up in the direct vicinity of the park for hiking enthusiasts. Before you set off, use the walking network map to map out your route. Put on your walking shoes and enjoy the beautiful nature!

Fietsknooppunten

With the cycling junction system, you can easily set out the most beautiful routes yourself. Along the way you can expand or shorten the route if you wish. The junction maps are for sale at the reception.

Various cycling and hiking maps are available at the reception desk. Make it easy for yourself with the cycling junction map or that of the walking network. There are also several already plotted routes available. For mountain bikers there are two already plotted routes on the Sallandse Heuvelrug, these start about 300 meters from Holiday Park Hellendoorn. Mountainbike / ATB routes

Did you know that the MTB Route Hellendoorn-Nijverdal has won the public award "The Golden Shovel 2022"? This is the most prestigious recognition for the best MTB Trail based on maintenance and riding experience! And from our park you can follow this trail! Besides the Hellendoorn-Nijverdal route you can also follow the Hellendoorn route. Both routes are signposted and can also be ridden as one big route since they cross each other.

De Flierefluiter

Playground De Flierefluiter is the best play farm of the East! And for three years in a row elected the most fun outing of Overijssel.

There is plenty to do for children ages 2-12 and their parents, grandparents and grandparents. Play in the outdoor playground, water playground, petting zoo or indoor playground. Enjoy our newest attractions such as the party cart or straw bale feast! Parents also enjoy the peace and catering specials in the outdoor playground on the terrace. Avonturenpark Hellendoorn

Having fun in the water together on one of the wild water rides: Wild Waterfall or Sungai Kalimantan? Or racing down one of the roller coasters: Balagos, Thunderstones or the Sewer Rat? Or sit back and enjoy Kareltje & Jasmijn's family show together? Avonturenpark Hellendoorn is a real family amusement park. The atmosphere is friendly, distances between attractions are small and waiting times for attractions are short.

Natuurmuseum Holterberg

The nature museum gives you a unique view of animals in their natural environment in life-size dioramas. In the museum there are special treasure hunts for children and interesting nature activities for children and adults are organized regularly.

Eelerberg

Our vacation park is located next to the Eelerberg, this hill is part of the Sallandse Heuvelrug and is no less than 40 meters high. On the hill is the 19th century estate consisting of old beeches and oaks. There is also a beautiful old villa on the hill. The Eelerberg can be discovered both on horseback and on foot.
