Because of the bustling Nijverdal, the historic Hellendoorn, the location in the unique cultural landscape of the Sallandse Heuvelrug and the Regge, the many activities and recreational and accommodation options makes it not for nothing that we say: Hellendoorn Nature Adventure!

Hellendoorn

Do you want to sniff culture? Then pay a visit to the village of Hellendoorn, where all kinds of activities are organized throughout the year. Much of the nine hundred year old culture has been preserved over the centuries. The many museums in the village testify to this.

Nijverdal

With its rich textile history, Nijverdal has a center that has undergone a true metamorphosis in recent years. A varied range of stores combined with catering in all shapes and sizes. The wheat events such as the various summer markets, the shopping Sundays with brocante markets, the ice skating rink in December make Nijverdal a great base for an enjoyable day of shopping!

Holten

The village of Holten, at the foot of the Holterberg, has traditionally been an attraction for tourists and an ideal base for a day out. In the center of the village there are several terraces and regular activities are organized. In the cultural center of Holten is the Tourist office where you can find tourist information.

Rijssen

Rijssen offers a diverse range of stores. Historic houses, the stately park building, the monumental Schildkerk and the Rijssen museum also certainly stand out in Rijssen. At the foot of the Rijsserberg, history can be found in the Leemspoor. Here you can take a ride with the little train on the route of an old narrow gauge railroad. Over a century ago the brickworks transported their raw materials on this.

De Flierefluiter

Playground De Flierefluiter is the best play farm of the East! And for three years in a row elected the most fun outing of Overijssel.

There is plenty to do for children ages 2-12 and their parents, grandparents and grandparents. Play in the outdoor playground, water playground, petting zoo or indoor playground. Enjoy our newest attractions such as the party cart or straw bale feast! Parents also enjoy the peace and catering specials in the outdoor playground on the terrace. National Park The Sallandse Heuvelrug between Hellendoorn and Holten is one of the largest contiguous dry heathlands in Europe.

Mountainbike / ATB routes

Did you know that the MTB Route Hellendoorn-Nijverdal has won the public award "The Golden Shovel 2022"? This is the most prestigious recognition for the best MTB Trail based on maintenance and riding experience! And from our park you can follow this trail! Besides the Hellendoorn-Nijverdal route you can also follow the Hellendoorn route. Both routes are signposted and can also be ridden as one big route since they cross each other.

Avonturenpark Hellendoorn

Having fun in the water together on one of the wild water rides: Wild Waterfall or Sungai Kalimantan? Or racing down one of the roller coasters: Balagos, Thunderstones or the Sewer Rat? Or sit back and enjoy Kareltje & Jasmijn's family show together? Avonturenpark Hellendoorn is a real family amusement park. The atmosphere is friendly, distances between attractions are small and waiting times for attractions are short.

Natuurmuseum Holterberg

The nature museum gives you a unique view of animals in their natural environment in life-size dioramas. In the museum there are special treasure hunts for children and interesting nature activities for children and adults are organized regularly.

Eelerberg

Our vacation park is located next to the Eelerberg, this hill is part of the Sallandse Heuvelrug and is no less than 40 meters high. On the hill is the 19th century estate consisting of old beeches and oaks. There is also a beautiful old villa on the hill. The Eelerberg can be discovered both on horseback and on foot.
