National Park The Sallandse Heuvelrug between Hellendoorn and Holten is one of the largest contiguous dry heathlands in Europe.

Did you know that the MTB Route Hellendoorn-Nijverdal has won the public award "The Golden Shovel 2022"? This is the most prestigious recognition for the best MTB Trail based on maintenance and riding experience! And from our park you can follow this trail! Besides the Hellendoorn-Nijverdal route you can also follow the Hellendoorn route. Both routes are signposted and can also be ridden as one big route since they cross each other.

Explore the surroundings of Hellendoorn on a nice bike or walking tour. The natural environment has many hiking and cycling routes.

The nature museum gives you a unique view of animals in their natural environment in life-size dioramas. In the museum there are special treasure hunts for children and interesting nature activities for children and adults are organized regularly.

Major sporting events such as the Fisherman StrongmanRun, Heksendoorn and the widely known pop festival Dauwpop with thousands of visitors, have put Hellendoorn on the map.

Our vacation park is located next to the Eelerberg, this hill is part of the Sallandse Heuvelrug and is no less than 40 meters high. On the hill is the 19th century estate consisting of old beeches and oaks. There is also a beautiful old villa on the hill. The Eelerberg can be discovered both on horseback and on foot.
